Pack 313 News

Welcome scouts and parents. This website is for your information. If you have suggestions or comments please let us know.

Parents:

Please remember to come inside when you drop off and pick up your scout. We want you to be informed of the happenings with the pack and a lot of the info is presented during announcements. Any flyers that were handed out during announcements can be found below.

Upcoming Events:

December 23rd and 30th: No Scouts.
Happy Holidays!!

We are looking for parent volunteers to help fill in some of our registered committee positions and /or serve on one of our committee staffs. None of us has the time but we owe to our boys to give them a great program!! Please contact Brad S. or Jeremy K. if you can help out.

Cubmaster's Christmas Display

Please come by and share in the Holiday Cheer. This is our 4th year of syncing our lights to dance to the music. We have added a few new songs and some additional elements.

Our show run nightly from November 30th through Jan 2nd.

Sunday - Thursday 5:30 until 10PM
Friday and Saturday 5:30 until 11PM

Tune your radio to 100.3 and enjoy.

Find us at 900 Sunset Strip (Corner of Sunset Strip and Michele)

Please be respectful of my neighbors and don't block driveways or have the music up too loud.

Happy Holidays to you all!

Cell Phone Fundraising

As many of you know the Pack is partnered with GRC Wireless for Cell Phone Fundraising.

We collect old cell phones and GRC pays us to send them in to be re-used/recycled.

We need your help. We need to finish filling the box so we can ship these phones off.

**New contest to see who can bring in the most Cell Phones/Smart Phones/IPads/Ipods**

Congratulations to our top phone collectors:

Tips for a successful day at the races:
1. Have fun building the car and spending time with your Scout.
2. Build a car you can both be proud of.
3. Keep the weight as close to 5oz as possible without going over.
4. Use only supplies from the official Pinewood Derby Kit.
5. Smooth the surface of the wheels to remove imperfections without changing the wheel shape.
6. Polish the axles.
7. Use a dry lubricant like graphite on the axles.
8. Make sure the axles are aligned so the car drives straight down the track.
9. Do not move the axle locations.
10: No solid axels.

Code Word Challenge Game

Somewhere in this website I will hide a code word in the following format: code word: "word" ( this is not the code word) :-)

The contest will start on Thursday and run through the following Tuesday at 8PM.

If you find the code word on the website, find Jeremy and quietly tell him the code word. Please be courteous and patient as you wait to tell him the code word. If the code word is correct he will give you a prize.

Remember this is a game, so don't share the code word with anyone.

The game will get harder as we go along and as you become better at finding the word.

Good Luck.
